The accommodation This spacious apartment of 140 square meters, opens onto the large living area, which overlooks a small patio connected through a balcony door. Thanks to its top floor position and the many windows, the living room is extremely bright. Moreover, a colourful closet offering plenty of space is at disposal of the guests, who can use it to store their personal belongings.The living room is furnished with a large microfiber sofa-bed (160cm X 200cm), a cabinet with a 32" flat-screen TV and an elegant glass table seating up to 8 guests.The hide-away kitchen is custom-made in polished steel and comes equipped with dishwasher and microwave.The warm parquet flooring stretches to the corridor, which leads into the night area.The night area consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.The master bedroom is furnished with light-coloured furniture creating a relaxing atmosphere, and it has a comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe and a desk. The second bedroom has two single beds and a spacious wardrobe.A wrough-iron staircase painted in white leads upstairs to the third bedroom: it offers plenty of space, and it comprises two comfortable sofas, one of which can be folded out to a double bed (standard 160 cm wide), a large table made of glass and steel and some custom-made pieces of furniture.The bedroom also opens out onto the terrace, which offers great views of the red brick roofs typical of Bologna historical center.The apartment has two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both of them are equipped with shower stall.AreaThe apartment has a great location within walking distance from the center of Bologna, just 850 meters from Piazza Maggiore, Palazzo di Re Enzo and Piazza del Nettuno, and about 650 meters from the world-renowned medieval towers Garisenda and Asinelli.A few minutes’ walk allows you to reach the famous University of Bologna, located in Via Zamboni (650 meters), the Botanical Gardens (700 meters) and the Museum of Palazzo Poggi (500 meters).Less than 10 minutes away is also the Museo Civico Medievale (Civic Museum of the Middle Ages), housed since 1985 at Palazzo Ghisilardi, one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Bologna. Located in the building next to the university, which is also home to the Academy of Fine Arts, the National Art Gallery of Bologna offers paintings and works of arts from churches and monasteries around the city.Bologna’s main shopping streets - Corte Isolani and the ‘Golden Quarter’ (Quadrilatero) around Piazza Bologna - are also in close proximity.
